When I was in Yellowstone National Park a few years back we drove along the park roads, parked, and had herds of wild bison trudge past our car while we were inside it. They were definitely wild. And when we visited Glacier we actually saw a bear in the wild. That same experience was repeated in Jasper National Park in Canada. A bear darted across the road in front of our car and disappeared into the bushes. My ultimate wildlife experience, I guess, took place on the North Atlantic as we were approaching Newfoundland. From the deck we observed a breaching whale.
