Last summer on July 13 we sailed up the Solent to dock in Southampton on the Queen Mary 2. Early in the morning I snapped a few pictures of the picturesque waterway. The sun was coming out, which it wouldn't be later in the morning by the time we arrived in Stonehenge on our shore excursion.Then it poured rain. The water sparkled and we spotted lots of other boats such as the Red Funnel, which I think did shore excursions to the Isle of Wight. It was still very early but in the background I could see dark green hills receding into the distance. Above was a particularly attractive pattern of architectural white puffy clouds.
