On July 19 we took a walk around the lake in front of the Congress Hall. We stopped at the Zeppelin Field. Where did we eat lunch? It only seemed natural to stop at a Burger King that was a stone’s throw away. But we noticed that the architecture looked rather old-fashioned to say the least. The building was massive. You even had to step up into it. Then when we left we noticed a faded Nazi eagle on the outside. We looked it up. It was the building that generated electricity for the lights at the Zeppelin Field when Hitler was making a speech. So we could tell people that we ate lunch at the only Burger King in the world designed by Albert Speer.
