We got an unexpectedly wonderful view of this World Heritage Site building on July 4 when Queen Mary 2 docked here as part of its 175th anniversary re-creation of Samuel Cunard's first transatlantic voyage in 1840. Our party couldn't resist standing out on the deck after breakfast and after lunch to have our photos taken directly in front of it. We didn't have to look up at all. We were on the same level. It was especially beautiful at night when all the fireworks were going off and the British flag was waving in front of it on deck 6.
