We ate at the Sun Deck Bar and Grill a year ago one sunny afternoon at lunch. We chose whatever table with an umbrella we liked on the raised wooden deck overlooking the sea. It was rather chilly with the wind blowing, but at least it was scenic. The grounds of the Hotel del Coronado were spread out beneath us. The classy pool was to one side. The iconic red brick tower shone above us. It was easy to snap photos as we ate sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers. It looks like a millionaire's set up, but people were dressed very casually.
Tip: If it's windy, it's a little bit warmer to eat closer to the entrance to the restaurant. It's farther away from the Pacific.
