We used to go to the restaurant that was there before Garrett's Family Steakhouse, the Longhorn Steakburger. We thought this restaurant would be remodeled and would be something different. But really it's the old restaurant with a different name. All the furnishings are the same. The restroom is the same. I think the menu is the same, too. We ordered two 8 ounce filet minons with salads and iced tea and a takeout cheeseburger for our dog for $62.19. One thing I definitely did not like --- the waiter shoved the signed guest receipt back in front of my face. He said it was to total up the bill. But I had been given an invoice for the exact amount and thought that was what I was signing for. Instead I was confronted with a list of suggested tips which added as much as $20.00 to the total bill. It was printed in such a way that it was difficult to tell the difference between the invoice amount and the new possible totals with suggested tips. I've seen this sort of thing before in other restaurants. I usually don't patronize them again.
