This gem of a restaurant is tucked away in the shopping court on the ground floor of La Fonda across the lobby from La Plazuela. It was one of the most relaxing meals we enjoyed on our trip to Santa Fe. We were encouraged to linger in front of the brick fireplace that covered one whole wall. We could study at our leisure that porcelain rooster on the mantel, the copper pots and pans, the French Colonial atmosphere, and all the pastry goods behind the counters. It was fun eating here. What did I order? Quiche and a side salad, and I'd do it again. There's a certain magic to eating a quiche in a place like this. It makes you feel that you never really tasted it before until now.
